Our Fiber Friends

This isn't really a knitting blog, but I am a regular knitter and got a huge kick out of today's post on Purl Bee.

A Lovely Llama

Just as I believe it is important to know where my food comes from (as much from my local foodshed as possible, thank you!), I also like knowing what kinds of animals grow the fibers that are spun into the yarn I love to use in knitting projects. Hopefully these photos from Purl Bee will put a smile on your face, and if you're a knitter, remind you of the animals that bring us alpaca, cashmere, angora, mohair, merino.

An Astute Alpaca

Don't you want your own cloven-hoofed mammal?
