Montana Outdoor Ed

From The Missoulian today: "St. Mary science: Students brave chill to broadcast from atop Bitterroot peak"

I love hearing about schools including experiential, outdoor education in their curriculum (a holdover from my year at Teton Science Schools), so it was fun to see this article about the Corvallis, MT
Classroom Without Walls  program that takes high school students all over the state for science, arts and literature-themed experiences.

In other Montana news, it snowed last night and and is still well below freezing.  They tell me this is unseasonably cold weather for early October in Missoula, so I suppose it's small consolation that several folks on our block this morning looked confused and in need of that snow scraper they couldn't find because it's October and not supposed to be snowing.
