I have a golden retriever named Isabel. My cousin Bryan and his wife, Kathleen, just got a golden retriever puppy and named her Belle. While I never received word that my five year-old dog was the inspiration for choosing and naming this younger pup, one does wonder if at a subconscious level, this is what happened, no?

I'm mostly joking, and these two golden girls had such a wonderful time playing together this past weekend in NC, it isn't hard to understand why they both inspire their names. Elles sont tres belles, n'est ce pas?
