Mountain Fun

We returned home last night, made a grocery store run, cleaned up a little and collapsed in a heap.  9 hours is just a long, long time to be in the car.  Chopper and Isabel agree.

We had a great trip to Lander, WY though! The highlight was hiking into the Wind River Range for an overnight with the MM's youngest brother and cousin.  The parents tagged along for most of the hike before peeling off and heading back down the trail.  By the time we reached our camp between two tiny alpine lakes, it was just us "kids." 

The Mountain Man comes from a statuesque blood line.  I can only hope that our future offspring will inherit his height genes, not mine.

The rest is just too beautiful to do justice with words.  I'll let the photos do the talking instead.  It was so very, very wonderful to unplug for 24 hours, get completely physically exhausted and be wholly entertained by nothing more than good company.  I could have easily spent 6 more days out there.  

Ah, beauty.  And then it was back to the grindstone with a vengeance today.  I'll be ready for another vacation by next Thursday!
