Bon Weekend: High Country Snow

Lolo Peak to the southwest of Missoula is free of snow on its summit for only a few weeks each year.  It's been bare for all of August and it was HOT in town yesterday, so I was a surprised to see a dusting of snow on the summit again this morning after a major cold front moved through over night.  I needed my Barbour jacket this morning--it was a brisk 50 F--but we're all hoping for just another week or two of summer up here.  Bon Weekend!
