Picking Back Up With December

November was not a good month for daily photos, but I'm determined to finish 2008 with a full December showing. As we creep towards the shortest day of the year, it's been clear and cold around here. The fields are covered with frost in the morning, the little pond is almost completely frozen over, and the great blue heron was so cold the other morning that he let me get within semi-close range for a photo. Usually he spies us on the far bank and takes off before I can even take off the lens cap.
