Planning Ahead

You're either an advance planner, or you are not. I most certainly am one. I'm even a planner by profession! Then again, I know plenty of accomplished planners who do not enjoy planning their own lives in advance, but I digress.

My future husband, the Mountain Man, instinctively dislikes advance planning, so it is a good thing that I am around to handle the planning for us both. Just so that we're clear here, I am talking about the very important issue of Christmas cards. Last year the MM and I sent separate cards because we weren't officially doing such things as, oh say, living together. Even though everyone knew that we were, we sent separate cards, or would have, had the MM ever sent any to begin with.

This year I get to officially take over this duty for both of us so that no aunts, uncles or cousins will feel the slight of a non-advance planner's approach to card-writing (As an aside, I even bought the MM New Year's Cards hoping this would help. It did not).

So in the face of so many questions about the future (the Country's future at least), I've decided that I'd like to look backward to a more innocent time with these wonderful Erhard card designs, courtesy of Vigo Cards and Lena Corwin's blog, where I found them. Phew, that was quite a lot of explanation just to introduce some cards. Enjoy!

So maybe I need something that is not only vintage, but, you know, also inspires peace on Earth, goodwill to people.
There, that's better.

I adore vitage cards. I'm totally on the same page with you. I've found a gold mine of designs in my grandma's old cards that she saved, I'm just trying to figure out how to re-use them, since some of them are cards she received.
