Ecological Footprints

I receive emails from Patagonia every now and then, and I usually delete them because I don't need any more temptation to buy expensive-yet-casual organic cotton clothing. BUT, today I did discover this rather cool spin-off site that they've put together: The Footprint Chronicles
I can't seem to get ctrl+printscreen to work to show you what the site looks like, but I appreciate their honesty about the good, the bad and the complicated in the clothing industry. Here, at least, is a photo of one of their "chronicled" items:
They key lesson here in the name of decreasing one's ecological (or carbon) footprint is that hanging on to one's older Patagonia rain shell, revived with some NikWax in the wash, is still better than buying a new one. But if you're in the market for something new, this one's made from 100% recycled material.
